ABOUT US

International Friends of ELEPAP (“IFELEPAP”)  is the fundraising arm in the United States for ELEPAP Greece.

In 1937 a group of people in Athens, who believed that disabled children were entitled to have comprehensive rehabilitation services, founded ELEPAP. Today ELEPAP operates with six centers throughout Greece: Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Chania, Volos and Agrinio

ELEPAP is the first non-profit organization since 1937 to specifically address the needs of disabled children, and has served over 100,000 children throughout the country, giving equal opportunities for smooth social integration. ELEPAP enables disabled children to live in their own homes and communities.

.

The governance of ELEPAP is being executed by the Board of Directors who voluntarily offer their services to:

A. oversee administrative matters, monitor the budget and supervise its operations; and

B.  promote essential values, including love, solidarity and trust, in order to help children with disabilities in Greece.

In ELEPAP, we care for the functional rehabilitation, education and social integration of children with physical disabilities and developmental difficulties, while at the same time provide support to their families.
